Dear Fans,

The last couple of days have been very difficult for myself and our club and I want to address some of the rumors that have developed. I founded this club in September of 2003 with specific goals in mind. Those goals were to have a professional soccer presence in Central PA, be competitive on the field and contribute to our community. I am very proud of what we have accomplished here. We have won championships, served the community, and, most importantly, we have made a positive impact on the lives of our youth soccer players.

There is a long road ahead of us but we are committed to being Central PA’s professional soccer team. There are several things we need to accomplish in order to be successful in 2020. First, we will need to work with the city and partners to help find a suitable stadium location that meets all requirements needed to thrive in the league. Second, we need to ensure that we can create match dates that are conducive to your schedule and lastly, we need to rebuild. I am confident in the people we have in the front office and we will be back in 2020 as a force to be reckoned with both on and off the field.

There seems to be some confusion about Penn FC’s relationship with Rush Soccer. Rush Soccer has never had any ownership stake in our club and I can say with 100 percent certainty that Rush Soccer will not be relocating Penn FC.

To all the families currently involved in our youth organization, there will not be any impact on those programs whatsoever. Your clubs will continue to operate under the management of Penn FC Youth.

We remain focused on protecting the future of our club and we want you to celebrate our season finale with us. We understand that some of you are very upset and, honestly, we are too. This Saturday is our best chance to prove that Central PA has a place in the landscape of American professional soccer. Therefore, we will be offering everyone wearing Penn FC and City Islanders gear a free ticket to the match and all other fans a $5 general admission ticket.

Thank you for your support of Penn FC and we look forward to seeing you in 2020.

Sincerely,

Eric Pettis
